The SuperTones are the children's choir of Dun Laoghaire Choral Society, founded in 2011 by Music Director, David Brophy.
The choir is open to boys and girls aged 7 to 11 and rehearsals will be held in the Quaker Hall, Monkstown, Co Dublin, on Thursdays from 5.30 - 7pm.
Rehearsals are led by David Brophy and Julie Shanley, Assistant Music Director to DLCS and The SuperTones.
The SuperTones will be holding auditions for new members on May 29th 2017 at 4pm in Monkstown. Please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org to put your child's name down. There is no preparation necessary.
The SuperTones have performed in a wide variety of settings since their inception in 2011. From family-oriented local concerts, to regular performances at the Mountains to Sea dlr Book festival, fundraising for the Laura Lynn charity as well as performing with the RTE Concert Orchestra and other professional musicians, The SuperTones already have heaps of experience under their belt!
Their most recent performance was the the National Concert Hall, as part of the Association of Irish Choirs National Youth Choral Meeting in April.
Initially created in 2011 with generous seed funding from Dun Laoghaire -Rathdown County Council and the support of Dun Laoghaire Choral Society, The SuperTones is one of the few community children's choirs in South County Dublin.
