The SuperTones childrens' choir was founded in 2011 by David Brophy the then Music Director of Dun Laoghaire Choral Society.

Open to boys and girls aged 7 to 12, SuperTones rehearsals take place in the Quaker Hall, Monkstown, Co Dublin, on Thursdays from 5.30 - 7pm. Rehearsals are led by superstar conductor Julie Shanley, SuperTones Music Director.  The kids adore her and her enthusiasm, professionalism and innovative teaching methods make the SuperTones rehearsals and performances a joy for the boys and girls of the choir.  Julie is also currently Assistant Music Director to Dun Laoghaire Choral Society.

The SuperTones hold regular open rehearsals and auditions for new members. Please contact us at thesupertoneschoir@gmail.com to so we can put your child's name on the list.  We will contact you when there is a forthcoming open rehearsal. There is no preparation necessary.

The SuperTones have performed in a wide variety of settings since their inception in 2011. From family-oriented local concerts, to regular performances at the Mountains to Sea dlr Book festival, fundraising for the Laura Lynn charity as well as performing with the RTE Concert Orchestra and other professional musicians, The SuperTones have heaps of experience under their belt!

Initially created in 2011 with generous seed funding from Dun Laoghaire -Rathdown County Council and the support of Dun Laoghaire Choral Society, The SuperTones is one of the few community children's choirs in South County Dublin.
